Experienced sector leader appointed to head Nulsen Disability Services

PeopleKind Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Justin O’Meara Smith as Chief Executive Officer of Nulsen Disability Services, commencing in July 2026.
The appointment marks an important milestone for one of Western Australia’s leading Supported Independent Living providers, as Nulsen continues its strong focus on values-led leadership and high-quality service delivery.
Nulsen has a proud heritage spanning more than 70 years of supporting people with disability to live meaningful, connected lives. The organisation is a part of PeopleKind Group, a for purpose parent company to organisations that deliver a diverse range of services including disability services, allied health, housing, justice, child protection, and reintegration.
Mr O’Meara Smith is a highly regarded sector leader and is currently Chief Executive Officer of Interchange, where he has led the organisation through growth and the successful acquisition and integration of Diversity South. He has also played a leading advocacy role for people with disability and the sector through his positions as Chair of NDS WA and a national member of National Disability Services. He brings more than 20 years of experience across disability and community services, along with a strong commitment to advocacy and improving outcomes for people with disability.
Nulsen Board Chair Bernadette Celliers said the Nulsen Board was delighted to appoint a leader of Mr O’Meara Smith’s calibre.
