Dr. Edward Petch

Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist at Hakea Prison, Department of Justice, and Clinical Associate Professor, University of Western Australia.

Dr. Edward Petch was raised and educated near London and trained in medicine at the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine, and in psychiatry and forensic psychiatry at the Maudsley Hospital. Dr. Petch has qualifications in medicine, neuroanatomy, psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, criminology, business administration and corporate governance. He worked for 10 years as a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist in the UK for West London Mental Health NHS Trust at a Medium Secure Unit and at Broadmoor (maximum secure) Hospital. In 2009 he became the Director of the State Forensic Mental Health Service in WA and in 2018 he returned to clinical work as a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist.
